This non-topic seems to me like the perfect place for the crashingly inconsequential announcement that I've switched the RSS defaults for vF so that you get individual comments, with their content, whether you subscribe to an individual topic or the whole forum.  

I note for the record that the system is still capable, under duress, of producing:  

- a feed of only topic headlines
- a feed in which each topic is a single feed item
